Lilac Enfleurage Candle

A warm breeze scented by blossoming lilacs is synonymous with the beginning of Summer throughout the Midwest. 

Lilac oil doesn't actually exist through the normal processes of aromatic extraction—the petals are too delicate—but we were determined to capture this nostalgic, sweet floral. We gathered the delicate purple flowers ourselves and over a period of three weeks, pressed the lilac blossoms into our Michigan beeswax and organic coconut oil base, slowly capturing the elusive aroma through a process of enfleurage. 

SCENT STORY

Lilac Enfleurage is a limited edition, wild-harvested scent made only once for the season. 

A bespoke blend of essential oils and absolutes combined with our enfleurage process to scent the wax naturally, create an aroma reminiscent of early Summer days here in Northern Michigan. Powdery, enchanting lilacs fill the air as our friendly pollinators tend to every blossom. Topped with hand-picked wild lilac blossoms.

Local Michigan beeswax (Apis Mellifeca), organic coconut oil (Cocus Nucifera), wild-harvested amyris essential oil (Amyris balsamifera), bitter almond oil (Prunus armeniaca), organic bergamot oil (Citrus aurantium var. bergamia), organic jasmine absolute oil, (Jasminum grandiflorum), labdanum absolute oil (Cistus ladaniferus), tonka bean butter (Dipteryx odorata (Aubl.) Willd.), and violet leaf absolute oil (Viola odorata).
